We made a jack-o-lantern...

We made a jack-o-lantern for Halloween night.
He has two crooked teeth, but he cannot bite.
He has two big eyes, but he cannot see.
He's a jolly jack-o-lantern as happy as can be.
BOO!

This is one of the many Halloween songs that the kids have been singing ALL of the time here lately.
I think that I even sing it in my sleep now!

So, we went out to carve our jack-o-lantern last night, and you guessed it, he has two crooked teeth and two big eyes!
The kids had fun digging all of the stuff out of the pumpkin and Daddy helped do the carving.

And then, we just had to wait for it to get dark so that we could check out our work.
He's definitely a jolly jack-o-lantern just as happy as can be!

Oh, and you may have noticed some little kittens running around devouring pumpkin.
Yes, we officially now have four cats (three new kittens (Sam, Syd, and Sox) and Fluffy).
Not something that we planned, but Fluffy's parents had another litter of kittens, so we took them in.
The kids absolutely adore them and Fluffy seems to be taking on the mommy role with them.
They are pretty darn cute and fun, and believe me, I am NOT a cat person!
This past weekend, the kids were "teaching" the kittens how to find their way back home to the garage from the driveway.
Jaxon insisted that they practice this over and over so as to always be able find their way back home.
It was pretty cute to watch.
