Well, we did it!
My sister-in-law, Misty, and I completed our first half marathon this past Saturday in KC.
It felt awesome to complete such a feat.
I was pretty much in awe with the whole race.
Well, except for miles eight through ten. I was pretty mad and tired at that time and was wondering why in the world I chose to do such a crazy thing.
Then, after mile ten, I got through my mental block and finished it up!
I was amazed at how 6400 people could get organized and race at the same time.
I also loved how so many spectators came out to support all of the runners.
Here's some pictures from the race.
Yes, that's me waving and smiling.
It was only about six miles into the race, so I was still running off of adrenaline and excitement!
It looks like she stopped to break into a dance move!
She was just taking off her jacket though.
See...no more smiling.
That's a more painful look!
I normally wouldn't put such an awful profile picture of myself on the Internet for all to see, but heck, I just ran a half marathon, so why not!
Yep, we had to get pictures in front of the finisher sign!
It still is just an incredible feeling to have done that, especially since this was my first time running in a race.
I don't know that I'm ready to sign up for another half anytime soon, but never say never, I guess!
