Snow Days

I can honestly say that I've never had a snow day off from work...until now!
I've had two in a row, and tomorrow is still questionable as to if I'll be able to get out.
I don't recall seeing this much snow ever before.

On Tuesday morning, we woke up to this...

Josh went out every couple of hours to blade the drive so that he could stay on top of the snow.

After just a few short hours the conditions had changed to where the sky was completely white and visibility was 0 feet (that's my interpretation anyway)!

So Josh gave up on blading the drive and we just played all day.

(Ava dressed herself...Little Mermaid pants, Tinkerbell gown, and striped socks!)

We crafted these little Valentine's Day pom-pom fuzzies.

We played games.
Jaxon's getting pretty good.
Josh didn't win once, and believe me, in our household we ALL try to win!

By the time we went to bed Tuesday night, we had about 16 inches of snow and around 2 1/5 feet where it had drifted (which was the majority of our front yard).

This morning, Josh and Jaxon were itching to go out and play in the 18 inches of snow that had fallen!

Jaxon LOVED it!
He somehow manages to get snow from head to toe!

Ava and I watched from the front door.
It was way too cold for us!

Jaxon was cracking me up because it looked like he was swimming everywhere!

(Josh made a "chair" out of the snow while Jaxon tried to shovel his way over to Josh)

After playtime, Josh headed back out to work on the drive.
And the kids put together their calendar for February.

By the end of two snow days, this is what we all look and feel like...

It's been fun being at home and having time to just play, but we are all in need of a trip out and about!!
Here's hoping that Spring is just around the corner!

Man, this snow is crazy. And we are getting more today! I think I have a similar picture of Jonna after our days holed up at home from the snow days!
