Our neighbors (the one and only neighbor) have a dog named Beverly.
She's a little pug type dog, and the kids LOVE her.
Every time they are outside, Beverly will hear them and come trotting down our drive to visit.
They get so excited when they see her, and want to feed, pet, and play with her.
The other weekend, Jaxon REALLY wanted Beverly to come to our house, so he got on his trike and rang the bell so that she could hear him. When that didn't work right away, he got down the wind chimes and hooked them onto his trike. The bell combined with the wind chimes seemed to do the trick!

It's good that we have a nice neighbor dog for the kids to play with, as it curbs the "why can't we have a dog" comment from Jaxon!

Too funny! If you ever need a pug to play with (and thus teach your children why owning dogs isn't nearly as fun as it seems) feel free to pug-sit for us. Wally comes with all the finest accessories. And all the most wonderful obsessive compulsive tendencies that make you wonder WHY you wanted a dog in the first place!
