Laundry

I'll go ahead and admit right now...this is kind of a weird post, but I couldn't help myself! I'm always amused with the little "treasures" that I find in the washer/dryer after doing laundry, so I thought I share a few that I have found recently...
  • Snickers wrapper--I'm guessing that this was probably in Josh's pocket, as Jaxon doesn't care for Snickers.
  • Tiny seashell--Jaxon's school often buries small "treasures" out in their playground so that the kids will have fun things to dig up and find. Pretty cute concept, I think!
  • Screw--It's a toss up as to whether this came from Josh's or Jaxon's pocket.
  • Tiny acorns--Jaxon LOVES acorns. He is always on the lookout for acorns. I have probably washed hundreds of them by now! There wasn't a day that went by during this past summer and fall that he didn't bring home a pocket of acorns!
  • Penny--Just didn't make it to the piggy bank yet.
  • Purple fake fingernail--Yes, that truely is a fake fingernail. My first thought...GROSS!! Then I found it kind of funny! I'm not sure what's worse though...the fact that Jaxon found and kept this, or that I then found it and saved it to take a picture!
  • Piece of a corn cob--another buried "treasure" from school.
  • Stickers--lots of stickers get stuck to the inside of my dryer.

No matter how thouroughly I check pockets before doing laundry, there are inevitably little "treasures" left for me to find. I know that this sounds odd, but I kind of enjoy finding these "treasures", and I can't imagine laundry without them!
