Decorations

Our house is officially decorated for Christmas, inside and out! Jaxon had been begging to get the decorations out for about a week, so we caved and let him have at it last weekend. It was earlier than we normally put up the tree; however, it was hard not to get into the spirit when we saw how excited he was to decorate! He was very helpful this year, hanging most of the ornaments on three different trees himself.

He set up his step stools just right! (Thank goodness we have so many step stools, right Emily?!)

He thought that he would be funny by putting our stockings on his feet...

He was also very excited to get all of his Christmas stuffed animals out. It's a wonder he has room for himself to sleep in his bed!Ava was in awe of all of the ornaments.

Her favorite was this ESPN one...it played the Sports Center intro song.

And, of course, there was a small quarrel between Jaxon and Ava. Ava was playing with her shopping cart... Jaxon spotted it and thought that it would be great to use the shopping cart to carry all of his ornaments into his room to decorate his tree. He took it from Ava. She got angry.

After pouting, she gave him a few dirty looks and went on about her way! (And, of course, being the good mom that I am...I just watched and took pictures :))Off to his room with his cart full of ornaments. I think that he hung at least one ornament on every single branch of his little tree!

All in all, the decorating was fun and went smoother than I predicted. Let the holiday season begin!
